Prabhu Deva to walk the ramp for Shabana's Mijwan

Chennai, Sep 3 (IANS) Choreographer-turned-director Prabhu Deva is set to walk the ramp Monday for a charity fashion event organised by Shabana Azmi's Mijwan Welfare Society (MWS).


Prabhu Deva will walk the runway with other Bollywood stars like Deepika Padukone, Karan Johar and Imran Khan, wearing the clothes made by girls from the NGO.


"Friends I'm walking the ramp today (Monday) for Manish Malhotra, at the Mijwan charity event for Shabana Azmi's MWS... I'm doing my bit, you do yours," he tweeted. The fashion event is being organised in partnership with ace designer Manish Malhotra.


Prabhu Deva has been active in Bollywood for some time. He directed super hit film "Wanted" and "Rowdy Rathore".


Other celebrities who will be present at the event are Amy Jackson, Arjun Kapoor, Chiraag Paswan, Chitrangada Singh, Dia Mirza, Imtiaz Ali, Kalki Koechlin, Kunal Kapoor, Malaika Arora Khan, Neha Dhupia, Parineeti Chopra, Prateik, Rohit Roy, Rohit Shetty, Sameera Reddy, Shahana Goswami,Shazahn Padamsee and Yuvraj Singh. It will be held in Grand Hyatt.


MWS works for the empowerment of the girl child in rural India, and will hold the Mijwan Sonnets In Fabric for the third consecutive year.
