Sydney, May 9 (IANS) Queensland Premier Anna Bligh's 20-year-old son, Joe, will be heading to Mumbai this June to pursue film and television studies at a Bollywood studio.

"He's a film and television student. Halfway through his degree, he's been accepted to do his second semester as an international student at one of the studios there, at one of the colleges," Bligh told Australian Broadcasting Corporation Radio.

"It's very exciting for him. My head thinks it's wonderful, but my heart is panicking," she added.

Bligh said her son was keen to learn about editing, post-production and special effects.

In April this year, Bligh was in India to boost the number of Bollywood films being shot on the Gold Coast and held talks with the Whistling Woods School of Film, Radio and Television in Mumbai.

High on her agenda was the state's incentive scheme under the Pacific film and television commission to encourage international movie-makers to come to Queensland.

Officials are hoping Gold Coast, a popular tourist destination for Indians, will get major international exposure when the A$10 million (US$9.4 million) Indian film "Singh Is Kinng" starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif is released in August.
