B'lore, Oct.28 (NR): Ritesh Deshmukh has now become a good friend to Kannada actor Sudeep. Both of them worked together in Ram Gopal Varma's Rann. "During the shooting of the film we became thick friends and spoke at length about films. Sudeep is a very passionate actor and he has also proved to be a good director," says Ritesh. He also took the advise of Sudeep to visit an eatery spot to have a full meal during his visit to Bangalore on Saturday to promote his film Alladin which is releasing worldwide on October 30.

Ritesh and the film's heroine Jackqueline Fernandez who were in the city on Saturday were together in a function organised by Provogue, India's premier fashion house. The function was held at Provogue Mega Studio at Indiranagar, Bangalore's upmarket suburb.

"Aladin is a fantasy film with lot of adventurous elements. I had to play the role of Alladin Chatterjee who totally dislikes Lamps. This modern day Alladin wants to run away from Lamps. Director Sudip Ghosh just narrated a line of the film before the shoot and I felt really interested to play Alladin's character in the film. It is an interesting story between a genius represented by Amitabha Bachchan and a loser which is my character. The loser asks the genius how it is possible to have three wishes fulfilled by a lamp and a supremely confident Genius convinces Alladin. In that way Alladin is a different film. It has lot of magic and special effects. The set up of the film totally different. And you have a genius like Amithabh Bachchan acting in the film. What more can you ask for. Sabu Syril has created such a fantastic city set which is unbelievable. Sabuji has been assisted by many Hollywood art specialists. We finished shooting nearly fourteen months back. The special effects work has taken so much time," said Ritesh Deshmukh.

Ritesh who shows lot of energy in disclosing details about his forthcoming was furious when asked about the disaster tourism he undertook with his father and former Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh and director Ram Gopal Varma to the iconic Taj Hotel after the Mumbai terrorist attack last November. However he was all in smiles when he spoke about the film and his experience of working with Amithabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt.

"It's an honour to work with great actors like Amitji and Sanjay Dutt. When you have such brilliant actors as co-stars, things do get easier. In fact, I learnt so much by merely watching them. Sanjay Dutt has a very strong character in the film. There is so much of fun working with these artists. I have learnt from Amitji to be professional on sets, respect artists. He always comes on time to the sets. He is such a role model for all youngsters like me. Frankly if the film looks young, it is not because of me or Jaqueline, but because of Amitji. 'Aladin' is a fantasy/adventure. When you have such brilliant actors as co-stars, things do get easier," Ritesh states.

The film's heroine Jaqueline Fernandez has already made a mark in Bollywood even before her first film Alladin has been released. She has quite a few ventures on hand which she did not want to disclose until the producers of the film make announcement. Talking about Alladin, Jaqueline said that she can talk and talk for hours about her experiences.

"Working with three amazing artists like Amithabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and Ritesh Deshmukh. I thoroughly enjoyed the process. It is my first film. I don't think anything negative about the film. I am just excited. I play the role of a simple girl who loves an innocent person. Amitji is the most passionate and hard working actor. I learnt so much by just watching him," says Jaqeline Fernandez who is half Malaysian and half Sri Lankan. Click the Movie button below for more info:
