Mumbai, June 17 (IANS) From a female "Gabbar Singh" to a doctor to an anti-terror agent, Shilpa Shetty plays them all in her three new films releasing next month.

Shilpa stars in two Hindi films - "Fareb" and "Dus" - and her third is a Kannada movie, "Auto Shankar", with well-known southern actor Upendra.

"Yes, it's a very weird title," Shilpa tells IANS about "Auto Shankar". "But it's a unique movie. I play a really negative character in this. It is my ode to Gabbar Singh!" she says referring to the villain essayed by Amjad Khan in "Sholay".

"This character is a menace to society. She is supposed to be a devastatingly beautiful woman who is also supposed to be quite devastating for men. Here I play one of the most negative characters so far in my film career."

Talking about "Fareb", Shilpa says: "The film is essentially a thriller amalgamated with a love story. But it deals a lot with relationships as well."

Shilpa plays a doctor, Neha, who is also a doting wife. She loves her family immensely and is depicted as an extremely strong character who is always in control.

"Then suddenly her life changes one fine day and after that it's a roller coaster ride." Manoj Bajpai essays the role of her husband.

Shamita, Shilpa's younger sister, who also stars in the movie, plays the owner of an ad agency and a business tycoon's wife.

Moving on to her other release "Dus", Shilpa says: "It is completely different from 'Fareb'. In fact I shot for both the movies simultaneously, but I sport very different looks in each."

"Dus" also stars Sanjay Dutt, Sunil Shetty, Abhishek Bachchan, Zayed Khan, Esha Deol, Raima Sen, Pankaj Kapur, Gulshan Grover and Dia Mirza.

"I play the role of an anti-terrorist agent. It's a very new concept; and considering that the movie is a multi-starrer, I feel very proud to be in it and doing something at the same time too. As most muti-starrers go, women have hardly anything to do in it, but here I thankfully hold my own with the male actors," says the actress.

Shilpa has refrained from signing on any new films because as she says, "I have not zeroed in on any particular movies that I have liked so far. I may sign a film soon but as it's a very long process, I have to re-invent myself as well."

In fact quite exhausted after working on her three forthcoming releases, the actress says, "I now plan to take a month-long break in India itself and chill out."
