Mumbai, May 20 (IANS) Producer Sanjay Gupta was in for a real surprise when his upcoming cops-and-gangster drama "Shootout At Lokhandwala" was cleared by the censor board without any cuts.

And what's more, people of all ages can see the flick that has got a U certificate.

An overjoyed Gupta said: "We expected a lot of opposition and requests for cuts considering the violent nature of the content. To my director Apoorva Lakhia and my surprise, the censor board members loved the film and thought any cut would impede the fast narrative flow. They also told me not to go for a UA but a straight U certificate. I'm in a state of pleasant shock."

With the censor board's clearance, the film, based on a true incident in Mumbai in 1991, releases May 25.
