Two hardcore Madhuri fans will miss 'Aaja...' premiere

Mumbai, Nov 29 (IANS) Madhuri Dixit is back in Mumbai to promote her comeback film "Aaja Nachle" but her two hardcore fans - sons Arin and Ryan - will be missing the premiere of the film.

"Both the boys loved the film's trailers. They're singing and dancing on my songs. At least I've two hardcore fans at home. And of course my husband. Teen ticket to bik chuke hain (three tickets have been sold)," Madhuri said.

"My husband is flying down for the premiere. But my children aren't coming. For them it's too long a journey - from Denver to Mumbai - for just a fortnight. In fact I had synchronised the shooting of my film with their holidays so they could be with me for the summer. That's why I could work in such a relaxed atmosphere in the movie."

Madhuri's mother-in-law, who lives in Los Angeles, is currently in Denver to look after the two boys. The doting mom admits she's tense about her children not being with her.

"The younger one is too young to understand. But when I explained to my elder son that mama would be away for 15 days he wondered why mama had to go all by herself to India.

"I'd have liked them to be with me. But I didn't want them falling sick or getting jetlagged back-and-forth in such a short time. Besides, I wouldn't have been able to focus on promoting my film if they were with me."

She brightens up. "They aren't missing anything here. They're too young to understand what premieres are all about, or what this premiere means to their mother. Of course I'd have liked them to be here with me. But they're far more comfortable back home. And I'm sure they'll watch the film soon."
