Mumbai, Dec 6 (IANS) Bollywood filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj, who is currently busy with his next film "Dedh Ishqiya", says as a teenager he dreamt of becoming a cricketer.

"Sports has always been my first choice. I was a cricketer and when I realised that there is no career for me in it, I came to movies because I wanted to be famous and rich," the 46-year-old multi-faceted filmmaker said here during the inauguration of a lawn tennis court.

Besides "Dedh Ishqiya", Bhardwaj is planning a film with Shah Rukh Khan based on Chetan Bhagat's novel "Two States". However, things are currently on hold, but he admits that he will definitely work with the superstar next year.

"That depends on Shah Rukh because currently he is busy with 'Don 2' promotions. But definitely we are working together next year," said Bhardwaj, best known for his direcotrial ventures "Maqbool", "Omkara", and "Kaminey" and critically acclaimed production venture "Ishqiya".

His "Dedh Ishqiya" is a sequel to "Ishqiya" and is in the pre-production stage. Bhardwaj has been a part of the industry since 1995 and started off his career as a composer with "Fauji". Click the Movie button below for more info:
