Mumbai, May 12 (IANS) Viveik Oberoi, who was to play an important role in Prakash Jha's next movie "Rajniti", has opted out of the project.

"Indeed, Viveik was offered 'Rajniti' and wanted to do the film. But since he had already committed the required dates to a Karan Johar production to be directed by Rensil D'Silva, he couldn't be part of it," said his publicist Dale Bhagwagar in a press release.

"However, he has been an admirer of all Prakash Jha movies and is keen to work with the director in future," he added.

Meanwhile, Popcorn Motion Pictures and Balaji Telefilms Ltd's "Mission Istanbul", starring Viveik along with Sunil Shetty, Zayed Khan and Shriya Saran, is nearing release.

The actor sports a very different get-up to go with an intense look in this film where he even flexes a lot of muscle. Apoorva Lakhia directs the film.
