We have not cheated anybody: Ajay Devgn

Mumbai, June 22 (IANS) Ajay Devgn denies allegations of cheating a Nagpur-based distributor over the all India theatrical rights for his upcoming film "Bol Bachchan".

"It is ridiculous. The matter is in court and the right thing will be done. We have not cheated anybody," said the actor, who has co-produced "Bol Bachchan".

"Bol Bachchan" stars Ajay Devgn along with Abhishek Bachchan. Directed by Rohit Shetty, the comedy is scheduled for a July 6 release.

The distributor has alleged that Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Limited and Ajay Devgn Films violated the theatre distribution agreement, which was signed last year.

The producers of "Bol Bachchan" reportedly entered into an agreement with Appu Wadhwani of Hira Laxmi Amusement Private Ltd., who paid them Rs.1.01 crore out of the promised amount of Rs.53.20 crore. But now they have apparently dishonoured the deal by entering into a new agreement with Fox Star Studios.

The distributor has filed a civil case against the producers in a local court, alleging that they dishonoured the deal with him. He has appealed to the court to stop the film's release and refund of the token money he had paid.

"We have been requesting him to come and solve the matter, but he is not coming. He can claim whatever he wants. The matter is in court. Nobody is cheating anybody. The court will decide and whatever the court will decide, will be done," Ajay said.
