Carrey broke three ribs during 'Yes Man' filming

London, Dec 19 (IANS) Actor Jim Carrey says he broke three ribs while doing his own stunts during the making of "Yes Man".

The comedy, based on Danny Wallace's bestseller of the same name, sees Carrey as a bank worker whose attitude to life is transformed when he is convinced to say "yes" to every opportunity.

Carrey's character in the film had to do bungee-jumping, full-body roller blading and pulling a wheelie on a Ducati motorbike. He admitted he approached the shooting with some trepidation.

Contactmusic.com quoted him as saying: "There were several things in this movie that involved making a reckoning. You'd show up on the set and think: 'Okay, could die today'. 'What will I say to Jesus about those nights in Amsterdam?'" he joked.

Though no scenes cost the 46-year-old his life, he revealed a fall in a bar scene left him with three broken ribs.

"I was halfway through the pratfall, and I changed my plan. I've done pratfalls my whole career, but suddenly I decided it would be a good idea to try to get all four limbs up into the frame at the same time and came down very hard!"

"Yes Man" also stars Zooey Deschanel and Bradley Cooper and is releasing Dec 26.
