'Dumb and Dumber' sequel back on track

Los Angeles, Aug 4 (IANS) The plans to make a sequel to 1994 film "Dumb and Dumber" were thrown into jeopardy after Jim Carrey dropped out of the project, but the actor is now back on board.


Carrey had reportedly opted out of the project earlier this summer, just two months after the director siblings Farrelly Brothers announced plans to reboot the 1994 comedy, about two dim-witted friends played by Carrey and Jeff Daniels.


However, Carrey has now returned to the project and irectors Bobby Farrelly and Peter Farrelly are looking forward to a polished script.


Daniels hopes the film's shooting begins next year, reports contactmusic.com.


"We almost were able to kinda get it done this year, but they're still working on the script. Jim wants to do it, I want to do it, the Farrellys want to do it... We're all hoping that it'll come together early next year," said Daniels. Click the Movie button below for more info:
