Emily Blunt in race for 'Avengers' sequel

London, Oct 8 (IANS) Actress Emily Blunt is tipped to star in "The Avengers" sequel.

The 29-year-old is vying for the role of Ms Marvel in the highly anticipated sequel. She is in competition with fellow British actress Ruth Wilson, though the studio has yet to confirm this, reports dailymail.co.uk.

"The Avengers" is one of the highest grossing films in history. It has made more than 500 million pounds worldwide.

The sequel is due to begin shooting next year.
