May 6, 2008 NR

London, May 6 (IANS) Pop star Fergie did not agree to do the theme song for the "Sex and the City" movie till she got a sneak peek of the romantic comedy.

Fergie was the first choice to record the song, but she said she was too busy until writer-director Michael Patrick King agreed to let her see the film before anyone else, contactmusic.com reports.

He said: "When we first approached Fergie, her music company said she's really, really busy and then she said very bargainy, 'Let me see the movie!' So we had a private bootleg screening for Fergie... and then recorded it almost immediately."
