Leaving children is 'so painful': Paltrow

May 1, 2008 NR

London, May 1 (IANS) Oscar winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow is missing her children so much she just cannot stop crying since she left them to travel the world to promote her new movie "Iron Man".

This is the first time that Paltrow has spent more than three days away from her two children. The promotional work is keeping her away from the kids and is causing emotional havoc.

Contactmusic.com quoted her as saying: "I keep bursting into tears because this is the longest I'll ever be away from my kids. It's so painful to even miss one day."

Paltrow, who is married to Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin, lives with her family in Britain.

The actress, who gives priority to her family, does not want to follow the celebrity trend of practicing a different religion each week because she believes all faiths are the same.

She was raised Jewish because her late father Bruce Paltrow was a descendant of Russian dynasty of rabbis.

She said: "What I believe is that Mohammed and Jesus and Buddha and Shiva are all the exact same thing: an energy, our link to something larger than ourselves. I do believe there is something out there and you can channel that energy."

She added: "Although I don't talk about my husband in interviews, I have heard him describe song writing in that way."
