Mel B chose singing over 'Sex and the City' role

London, June 9 (IANS) Spice Girls member Melanie Brown, popularly known as Mel B, turned down a chance to act in the "Sex and the City" movie because she wanted to focus on her singing career.

Contactmusic.com reports that Mel B would have loved to act in the movie but she was working on her upcoming album and did not want to be distracted.

The singer said: "They asked me to do the film, but I decided not to. I wanted to bring my music out all at once."
