Radcliffe prefers spending time with dad

London, April 23 (IANS) "Harry Potter" star Daniel Radcliffe says he would prefer to spend time with his dad to partying in New York.


Contactmusic.com reports that the 18-year-old now owns two multimillion dollar apartments in Manhattan and could party around when he arrives to star in his Broadway role in "Equus" in autumn. But he wants to hang out with his father Alan who has helped him in his movie career.


Radcliffe reveals he enjoys his close bond with his dad and says: "My dad gave up his job to chaperone me on set. My dad has been with me every single day and I think it strengthened the relationship.


"I learned to talk to my dad in a situation that most teenagers wouldn't find themselves in. I remember it shocking me when I was around friends' houses, the way they would talk to their parents."
