'Aishwarya' is top Kannada album

Bangalore, Sep 22 (IANS) The huge opening of "Aishwarya" has benefited album sales and it has climbed to the top of the list.


The top five Kannada albums are:


1. "Aishwarya" - The album, a success even before the film's release, is sure to stay on the top of the list for some time. The film's promos and the continuous telecast of songs have contributed to the album's growing sales. "Ella Ok, maduve yaake" and the title song composed by music director Rajesh Ramanath are chartbusters.


2. "Sevanthi Sevanthi" - Ashwini Audio, distributors of the film's album, has introduced new CDs of the songs of "Sevanthi Sevanthi" along with those of new releases like "Jothey Jotheyalli" and "Sirivantha". The technique has pushed up the sales. Music director S.A. Raj Kumar has once again proved lucky for Kannada films. "Jaaji mallige hoovu' is an extremely popular number.


3. "Sirivantha" - "Megha megha" rendered by Shankar Mahadevan and "Yaaro yaaro aa nalvaru" by S.P. Balasubramanyam have struck a chord with audiences.


4. "Jothe Jotheyali" - Debutant music director Harikrishna has attracted listeners with this album. "Oh, gunavantha" has proved to be a popular song.


5. "Neenello Naanalle" - The film's success has helped the album. "Something, something" and "Aakaasha bhoomili" are catchy tunes.
