Bangalore, Oct 7 (IANS) The "Aishwarya" album tops the charts. And the recent raids at the shops selling pirated albums in the state have increased sales by eight to 10 percent.

The top five Kannada albums are:

1. "Aishwarya" - The film's popularity has helped the album. "Ella Ok, maduve yaake" and the title song composed by Rajesh Ramanath are chartbusters.

2. "Sevanthi Sevanthi" - Lovers of film music and folk songs are buying the cassette. Music director S.A. Raj Kumar has once again proved lucky for Kannada films. "Jaaji mallige hoovu" is extremely popular.

3. "Jothe Jotheyali" - The film's music, scored by debutant V. Harikrishna, has been received well mainly because of its variety. "Oh, gunavantha" and "Barthaare barthaare" are catchy.

4. "Sirivantha" - The album was doing well even before the film's release. The lyrics by the film's director, S. Narayan, have enhanced the appeal of S.A. Raj Kumar's music. "Megha megha" rendered by Shankar Mahadevan is quite popular, but the song has not been included in the film. "Yaaro Yaaro Aa Nalvaru" sung by S.P. Balasubramanyam has touched a chord among listeners.

5. "Ekadhantha" - Guru Kiran has scored music for the film starring Vishnuvardhan. The combination worked wonders in "Aaptha Mithra". "Ganpathi Bappa Moriya" and "Bandal badaayi maadeva" have become popular.
