Bangalore, Feb 11 (IANS) Sanchana, the heroine of "Ganda Hendathi", has landed in a controversy even before the film's launch.

The dare-bare photographs of Sanchana, carried on the cover of the invitation to the launch function, have led to a debate within the industry and outside as well.

Producer Shailendra Babu and director Ravi Srivatsa have received bouquets as well as brickbats for the Rs.200,000 photo shoot for the invitation, which states on the cover - "Love is the thirst of youth".

Says Babu: "I had to convey the nature of my product to the audiences. The film deals with a complex issue - a woman's post-marital infidelity and her subsequent repentance."

Sanchana, who had earlier acted in a couple of films in the name of Mandira, also defends the photographs.

She says: "I will be participating in some erotic sequences, which are necessary for the film. What is wrong if I participated in the photo shoot just to give people an idea about the film?"

Her "My Autograph", is yet to be released but it looks as if her "Ganda Hendathi" will make waves first. The film is Srivatsa's second directorial venture and it will have only six characters on the screen.

Guru Kiran scores music for the film and M.S. Rajasehkar and Ramesh have jointly written the screenplay, with 'Coffee' Raghavendra providing the dialogues.
