Melodies make 'Anna Thangi' audio a mega hit

Bangalore, Feb 22 (IANS) The melodious music of composer Hamsalekha has taken the album "Anna Thangi" to the top. The top five Kannada albums are:


1. "Anna Thangi" - Over 200,000 audios have been sold so for, and now that the film has completed 100 days, audio sales are expected to soar further. This is a shot in the arm for music director Hamsalekha and Mayuri Audio, which released the album.


2. "My Autograph" - The audio of the film, which is a remake of the Tamil hit "Cheran", has been released by Ashwini Audio that also marketed "Jogi". The audio is a success for music director Bharadwaj.


Three songs - "Nannavalu nannavalu nanagillaa", "Savi savi nenapu" and "Aralida hoovugale aalisiri" - are chart-busters.


3. "Suntaragaali" - The Darshan-Rakshitha starrer directed by Sadhu Kokila had a big musical hype when the audio and CD were released in a programme in Mysore, where Darshan danced on some hit numbers. It was widely telecast and has created a demand for the audio. "Nannaane nannaane" is the pick of the six songs.


4. "Amruthadhare" - The film is expected to make the silver jubilee mark soon. The audio and CD sales continue to be good even now. "Mane katti nodu, Maduve maadi nodu" and "Huduga huduga" are music lovers' favourite songs.


5. "Ambi" - The film's audio and CD sales are making a quiet and steady progress, though the film's release is slated for March end. Music composed by Nagendra Prasad boasts of variety and force. Anand Audio, which has released the audio, oozes confidence.
