Narayana Murthy, wife compliment Sudeep's film

Bangalore, July 13 (IANS) Kannada actor-director Sudeep is on cloud nine after Infosys chief mentor N.R. Narayana Murthy and his wife Sudha complimented him for his film "73, Shanthi Nivasa". They said the movie propagates the values of good family life.

An excited Sudeep told IANS: "They complimented me for making a clean entertainer. Murthy said the film would propagate the values of good family life."

This is Sudeep's second film as a director and he plays a cook who tries to solve the problems of a big family whose members are constantly fighting. The actor, used to critical acclaim, was hardly prepared for the appreciation.

"I might have expected Sudha Murthy, who has shown interest in literature and culture, to watch the film. But Narayana Murthy's interest came as a pleasant surprise. He told me he was watching a movie after a long gap, but had really enjoyed it," he said.

Though Sudeep is going ga ga over his new fans, the producer is unhappy because the film, which was released on the same day as Rajnikant's blockbuster "Sivaji: The Boss", didn't get a good opening.

But Sudeep is unperturbed.

He said: "My film is drawing classy audiences. The mega-budget product, however, needs a good response from mass audiences."
