'Sevanthi' rules Kannada audio market

Bangalore, July 15 (IANS) With the folksy songs of "Sevanthi Sevanthi" making the film a big success, its album had to be a hit. It is the first among the Kannada audios of the fortnight.

The top five Kannada albums are:

1. "Sevanthi Sevanthi" - "Jaaji mallige hoovu" and "Maayadhantha male banthanna" are the top songs of this popular album.

2. "My Autograph" - While the film starring Sudeep will complete a silver-jubilee run in few centres, the audio is also on top of the charts. Though the tunes have been lifted from its Tamil original "Autograph", the songs have struck a chord among the Kannada audiences.

"Araluva hoovugale, aalisiri" and "Savi savi nenapu, saavira nenapu" are the top songs of the film and they have also been shot very well.

3. "Aishwarya" - Upendra's new film "Aishwarya" is yet to be released but the music scored by Rajesh Ramanath has already hit it off with audiences.

The film's CD and audio are selling briskly. The title song and "Ella ok, maduve yaake", sung by Upendra, are particularly catchy numbers.

4. "Mohini 9886788888" - The songs of this yet-to-be released horror flick, directed by S.V. Rajendra Singh Babu, are already popular on television channels.

"Ranga ranga dingara ranga bandha biligirige" by Udit Narayan and Kavitha Krishnamurthy and "Preethiyalli naanu lucky kane", set to music by veteran Hamsalekha, are the most popular.

5. "Kumara Rama" - Guru Kiran has scored music for this big-budget historical film with Shivaraj Kumar in the lead. The album may become a hit after the film releases on Aug 4.
