A R Rahman to act in Chettayees

Industry grapevine is that Oscar winner music director A R Rahman would be acting in a Malayalam movie directed by Shajoon Karyal. The movie Chettayees which tells the story of 5 friends is produced by Thakkali Films.

Rahman appears as the versatile A R Rahman himself. Biju Menon, Lal, Suresh Krishna, P Sukumar, Sunil Babu are the 5 friends. Biju Menon does the role of a musician in A R Rahman’s musical troupe.

The production company, Thakkali Films, is owned by Biju Menon, director Shajoon Kariyal, actor Suresh Krishna, script writer Sachi, and cinematographer P Sukumar. It is learned that apart from being the producer, renowned cinematographer P Sukumar will also do an important role in the film.

Director Shajoon is planning to shoot the sequences including Rahman and Biju at Rahman’s studio in Chennai.
