Ananya wins Gold in Archery Championship

Actress Ananya has won gold medal at the State Archery Championship. “I was initially tensed. However, I felt more confident after the first half, and that kept me going,” says Ananya.

She is now qualified for the National Archery Championship and is all enthused to compete with Olympian Deepika Kumari. Ananya adds, “However, unlike how I took to the state championship, I'll be looking forward to the national event with a more serious approach.”

Ananya who shot to fame with her Tamil flick ‘Engeyum Eppothum’ and Mohanlal’s ‘Shikar’, has took a hiatus from her all-time passion archery due to her busy schedule in the films. She now takes a break from the shooting of Raghevendra Rao’s ‘Intintaa Annamayya’ to be part of the sport.
