Asif Ali and Samudrakkani in 'D Company'

Cochin, July 25 (NR): Asif Ali and Samudrakkani work together in M.Padmakumar’s segment “Oru Bolevian Diary 1995”, in the episodic movie “D Company”. “D Company” includes five segments each directed by renowned directors – Joshy, Shaji Kailas, Padmakumar, Deepan and Vinod Vijayan.

Mau Rebellion is the backdrop of “Oru Bolevian Diary 1995”. The film’s storyline, according to Padmakumar, revolves around a Maoist leader who lives in a tribal colony and a police officer who goes there to investigate Maoist activities.

Asif Ali, Samudrakkani and Ananya play the leading roles.

Samudrakkani plays the Maoist leader who comes to Kerala to strengthen the movement in a tribal area. Asif stars as a tribal boy and Ananya, a channel reporter. G.S. Anil pens the flick.
