Bharathi - Mammoottys new heroine

Bharathi, the Tamil actress, who played the heroine in the Padmamagan–directed Tamil film Ammuvagiya Naan, opposite Parthiban, is to play heroine to Mammootty. She will also be making her debut in Malayalam Cinema with Annan Thambi, the forthcoming film by Anwar Rasheed (of Raajamaanickam and Chotta Mumbai fame). The film, which will have Mammootty in a dual role, as brothers, one of them reportedly dumb, will start rolling in December.

Bharathi will be playing one of the heroines while it has not yet been decided who the other heroine will be. Anyhow, since Mammootty has a new heroine in almost all his new movies, and since the heroines have been hogging the limelight, there's little doubt that Bharathi, who has already been noted playing a young sex worker in Ammuvagiya Naan and who is getting better offers in Tamil, will start getting noted in Malayalam too, post Annan Thambi.
