Big B is coming

You wouldn't believe this! Malayalam Cinema is hitting big time. The Big B himself is to make his appearance in a film to be directed by none other than Vinayan, the veteran director who has a long list of hits to his credit, including Vaasanthiyum Lakshmiyum Pinne Njaanum, Akashaganga, Kalyana Sougandhikam, and Karumadikuttan among others.

The yet unnamed film to be produced by Satheesh Nair and B.S. Nair will have the Big B in the role of a retired Police Officer and will also have five popular Malayalam and Tamil stars in key roles. Though more details about the plot and casting are awaited, Vinayan, when contacted over phone did confirm the report. Said he, "He (Amitabh Bachchan) has expressed his willingness for the project. But things have to be worked out and it's going to take some time. He'll have to finish off his present assignments and then only will he be doing our film. We are in the discussion stage at present."

Vinayan is at present getting ready his latest film Hareendran Oru Nishkalankan. The film, produced by Satheesh Nair (who is one of the producers of the Big B film) is scheduled for release on the 16th of this month.
