Blessy in the City of Joy

Ace director Blessy's next venture is to be shot entirely in Kolkotta. The as yet unnamed film will have Dileep and Meera Jasmine teaming together again after the success of Vinodayatra. It was in Soothradharan that the two had first come together. As Meera's career graph soared, and her popularity grew in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, her appearance became scarce on the Malayalam screen for a time.

This year Meera had given dates for three Malayalam films: Vinodayathra, Ore Kadal of Shyama Prasad in which she stars opposite Mammootty for the first time, and this new film from Blessy with Dileep again in the lead. The story, script and screenplay for the film are being prepared by the director himself. The film, in which Meera will have role different from the ones she has done till now, will start rolling by the end of May, and will be ready in time for Onam.
