'Chaandupottu', 'Naran' top Malayalam audio charts

Kochi, Oct 4 (IANS) There is hardly any change the music charts, with songs from "Chaandupottu" and "Naran" still topping the charts.

The top five Malayalam songs are:

1. "Omanappuzha"; Film "Chaandupottu"; Music: Vidyasagar; Lyrics: Vayalar Sharath Chandra Varma; Singer: Vineeth Sreenivasan This song is used to establish the camaraderie between Dileep and the female lot in the film. It has also helped to lure people into theatres, which is the biggest success any song can achieve.

2. "Velmuruka"; Film: "Naran"; Music: Deepak Dev; Lyrics: Kaithapram; Singer: M. G. Sreekumar A 'kavadi' song has been a trademark of Mohanlal films. It is the good-luck charm for him.

3. "Aazhakkadalinte"; Film: "Chaandupottu"; Music: Vidyasagar; Lyrics: Vayalar Sharath Chandra Varma; Singer: S. Janaki Director Lal Jose's amazing prowess to integrate songs beautifully into the story is on show here.

4. "Naran"; Film: "Naran"; Music: Deepak Dev; Lyrics: Kaithapram; Singers: K. S. Chitra and Vineeth Sreenivasan The Deepak Dev-Kaithapram team has seen lot of success in recent times. This is the latest addition to that list.

5. "Sahira Sahira"; Film: "Lokanathan IAS"; Music: M. Jayachandran; Lyrics: Kaithapram; Singers: Sujatha and Afsal The 'Oppana' song has gone down well with listeners.
