Kochi, March 18 (IANS) This fortnight three new films have entered the Malayalam top five list, which includes two cop movies. They have got a good opening but it is too early to gauge their success.

1. "Vargam" - Prithviraj tries the police act again and this time around he seems to have got lucky. Director M. Padmakumar's characterisation has won him the day.

2. "Kilukkam Kilukilukkam" - The sequel to Priyadarshan's classic "Kilukkam", directed by newcomer Sandhya Mohan, featuring Kunchako Boban, Jayasurya and Kavya Madhavan, has box-office potential.

3. "Tanmatra" - This film is holding its position at the box office mainly due to the good subject.

4. "Ravanan" - Kalabhavan Mani, who plays a cop again under Jojo Verghese's direction, has received a mixed response from the audience.

5. "Lanka" - A film that disappointed Suresh Gopi's fans, it is on the list by default.
