Dasan and Vijayan are Sreeni's creations, not Siddiq's: Sathyan Anthikkad

Cochin, Dec.1 (NR): Director Sathyan Anthikkad has taken offense to director Siddiq's claims that the story idea of his evergreen hit 'Naadodikkattu' was his creation.

Sathyan has made clear that Dasan and Vijayan, the iconic characters in the film are purely Sreenivasan's creations. However they had used two scenes from a story discussion with Siddiq earlier, and had even credited him with the same in the film.

Sathyan feels that it is inappropriate on the part of Siddiq to wrongly claim that the story idea of 'Nadodikkattu' is his. Sathyan and Sreenivasan had asked Siddiq about this and Siddiq had apparently told them that he was misquoted and that he would personally see to it that such mistakes aren't repeated.

However when a magazine recently published the same error again, Sathyan had decided to clarify the issue once and for all.
