De! Ingottunokkiye … Balachandra Menon again

Five years after the release of his Krishna Gopalakrishna (which incidentally was a disaster at the box office), writer-director-actor Balachandra Menon (who is also a producer-cum-lyricist-cum-music composer-cum-singer) is all set to bounce back with a film titled De! Ingottu Nokkiye… ("Hey! Look Here…"). The film will be produced by A.V. Anoop (who had earlier produced Pranayakaalam as well as a documentary on Raja Ravi Varma) under the banner of A.V.A Productions, and will start rolling soon.

Though more details are still awaited, De! Ingottu Nokkiye…will feature lyrics by Bichchu Thirumala and music by M. Jayachandran, and will be brought to the theatres by Vaishakha Release. The film was launched recently with the pooja ceremony held at Hotel Avenue Centre in Kochi, during which Minister M. Vijayakumar lit the traditional nilavilakku. The first clap was performed by veteran producer T.E. Vasudevan, while Priyadarshan did the switch on. Nothing is yet known about the cast, though it is presumed that Balachandra Menon would be doing a key role. While we wait for further details here's wishing Balachandra Menon better luck this time round!
