Dileep becomes a thief once again

The last time Dileep turned a thief on screen, the film went on to become a big blockbuster. Meesha Madhavan had turned Dileep into one of the busiest and most sought-after artists in Mollywood.

And now, when Dileep is going through a lean patch in his acting career, he is all set to play the thief once again.

Dileep becomes Kattala Gopalan, a thief, in Deepu Karunakaran's new film, which is already on to its first schedule of shooting. The film, which has Biju Menon and Manoj K. Jayan too in key roles, introduces a new heroine to Malayalam - Radha Varma, who earlier had acted in Tamil and Telugu films as Sunitha Varma. Radha Varma plays a rich girl named Diana.

Produced under the banner of Bhavana Media Vision, the film also has in the cast Salim Kumar, Harisri Ashokan, Janardhanan, Jagadeesh, Mohan Jose, Baby Nayanthara etc. D. Kannan does the cinematography, while songs penned by Gireesh Puthencherry and Anil Panachooran are set to tune by Rahul Raj. Let's hope the character of Kattala Gopalan proves lucky for Dileep!
