'Electra' and 'Makaramanju' to be screened at IFFK 2010

Trivandrum, Dec.8 (NR): The 15th International Film Festival of Kerala would be inaugurated on the 10th of December this year.

The Malayalam Cinema Today would feature eight films including 'Aathmkatha' (Prem Lal), 'Janaki' (M G Sasi), 'Elektra' (Shyamaprasad), 'Veetilekkula Vazhi' (Dr. Biju), 'Makaramanju' (Lenin Rajendran), 'Chithrakuzhal' (Majeed Gulistan), 'Yugapurushan' (R Sukumaran) and 'Chitrasutram' (Vipin Vijay).

Besides these films, Ranjith's 'Palery Manickyam' and Mohan Raghavan's 'T D Dasan Std VI B' would be competing for the prestigious Suvarna Chakoram.

The Contemporary Master in Focus would be Werner Herzog. Along with a Fassbinder Retrospective there would be a TV Chandran Retro as well.

There would be a special Homage section, in which films of artistes who are no longer with us, like Venu Nagavally, Gireesh Puthencherry, M G Radhakrishnan, Sreenath, Cochin Haneefa, Adoor Pankajam, Azeez and Mankada Ravi Verma would be screened. Click the Movie button below for more info:
