Film direction is not my dream at all: Jagadeesh

Cochin, Feb.23 (NR): Actor Jagadeesh, who had planned to venture into film direction last year, has made it clear that directing a film is not his dream at all.

It was reported that Jagadeesh was planning to direct a film titled 'Amar Akbar Antony' with Mammootty in the lead role. However the film was shelved even before it took off.

"The producers of the film are my close friends. When I assessed the total cost of the film that I had planned, the budget seemed a bit too high. So it has been postponed for the moment," said Jagadeesh while interacting with a prominent daily.

"Film direction can happen any day. I am not thinking of any other project to direct as well. As of now, I have plenty of acting offers at hand. Isn't that great?" asks Jagadeesh.

When asked how he would react if it was suggested that he had quit his directorial plans owing to fear of failure, Jagadeesh laughed aloud and said that he wouldn't mind the allegation, if it gave some satisfaction to the people who made it.

Besides doing several films, Jagadeesh is also busy as the Chief Judge of the much poplar program Vodafone Comedy Stars on Asianet.
