Kochi, Oct 29 (IANS) The decks have been cleared for the Nov 7 release of the blockbuster "Twenty Twenty", one of the costliest Malayalam films that features superstars Mohan Lal, Mammootty and several other top actors, after a film body ended the impasse between two warring groups of distributors.

The Kerala Cine Exhibitors' Federation (KCEF), based in major cities, and the Cine Exhibitors' Association (CEA), representing the rural centres of the state, buried their differences over the deferred release of "Twenty Twenty".

KCEF and CEA were locked in an impasse following the former insisting on an initial run in the cities while the latter termed the move as a boon for video pirates.

This led to the threat of CEA boycotting the film. The dispute was finally sorted out after the Kerala Film Chamber intervened, a press statement said Wednesday.

"Exactly 118 prints will be released all over Kerala to bring joy to fans of both the stars (Mohan Lal and Mammootty)," a joint statement from both the organisations said.

Produced by actor Dilip for the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA) - the body that represents virtually all actors in Kerala - the movie is named after the shortest version of cricket is directed by veteran Joshi.
