Goa Film Festival From 25th
Nov 26, 2006 NRGOA, NOV 23: A retrospective of the films made by G. Aravindan, noted Malayalam film will be featured in the 37th Goa International film festival which will be inaugurated on 25th November with the film "Vaasthuhaara'.
The festival will be dazzling with the presence of Bollywood actors. Many stars will be there in different ceremonies and forums, including inaugural function and open forums. Actor Shashi Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Telugu Actor Venkatesh and Bengali actor Prasejith will be part of the inaugural functions. Actress Sridevi will be inaugurating the Mainstream Indian cinema section on 25th November and Aamir Khan starred "Rang De Basanthi' will be the opening film of this section.
The signature video for the festival will be released in a separate function, by the Chief Minister of Goa, Mr.Prathap Singh Rane. Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra along with Bipasha Basu will be present in this function.
The festival will pay tributes to two greats of Indian cinema-Prithwiraj Kapoor and S.D.Burman. Well-known films "Mughal E Azam' and "Jewel Thief' will be screened in this section.
The festival will pay homage to eleven film personalities who passed away last year. The list includes Malayalam actor Oduvil Unnikrishnan, Kannada Movie icon Dr. Raj Kumar, Actress Srividya and multifaceted personality P.Bhanumathi.
