'I D' – a movie with a difference

Six well known film personalities join together for a single movie, ‘I D’. This was their dream project ever since they left Pune Film Institute as friends. Oscar winning sound designer Resool Pookkutty, cinematographer cum director Rajeev Ravi, cinematographer Madhu Neelakantan, National and State award winner film editor B Ajithkumar, Kerala State film award winner art director Sunil Babu, and director Kamal K M are the friends.

Though each one of them has made their mark in the industry in one way or the other, this is the first time they come together for a single project. The Hindi movie will be screened in Indian Panorama. The movie has already screened in Busan, Abudhabi International Film Festivals before it is released in the cinemas. The movie is also selected for Mumbai Film Festival.

The screenplay and direction are by Kamal K M, sound design by Resool, and camera by Madhu Neelakantan. Sunil Babu handles art direction and Ajith does the editing part. Rajeev Ravi joins them as a co-producer. This is the first flick of Collective Face One, the cinema company owned by the group.

The film plots how identity becomes crucial in a person’s life. The movie also visualizes the life of individuals who migrate to foreign lands in search of better life.

The film will hit the theaters next year, which is planned to be screened free of cost. The viewers can voluntarily contribute any amount as they deem worth the quality of the movie.
