I found the face I was looking for in Sankar: Ranjith
Apr 5, 2011 NRCochin, Apr.5 (NR): Director Ranjith says that it was quite unexpectedly that he came across his hero for his new film 'Leela'.
Sankar Ramakrishnan has been working as an associate director to Ranjith for some time now, and it was just a matter of chance that Ranjith zeroed on him for his new lead role.
"Sankar would be doing the role of Kuttiyappan," says Ranjith. "Mamta would be Leela. Nedumudi Venu and Prithvi would do important roles. I saw the face that I was looking for in Sankar, and decided that he should play Kuttiyappan."
Meanwhile Ranjith is also planning another movie with Prithviraj in the lead. Titled 'Indian Rupees', this film would go on the floors once the first schedule of 'Leela' is complete.
