I have nothing to do with 'Avalude Ravukal': Shwetha Menon

Cochin, May.25 (NR): Following a news report that Shwetha Menon would be playing the lead role in a sequel to 'Avalude Ravukal', the actress herself has come up with a clarification.

Shwetha says that the producer-director P H Hameed has not contacted her regarding the film, and that there have been no discussions regarding the same. "I came to know of the news through the media reports. Anyway I have decided that I will not be a part of this film."

The original 'Avalude Ravukal' was released in 1978, and was much discussed for its bold theme that dealt with the life of a teenage prostitute.
