If I tried hard, I'd get a Padmasree too: Jagathy

Alappuzha, Feb.10 (NR): Actor Jagathy Sreekumar has said that he wouldn't be surprised if 95 percent of the population are awarded Padmasree.

Jagathy also said that it has come to a point where anybody could win anything. The actor was speaking after inaugurating a documentary campaign organized by Coir Kerala.

"I am not interested in awards at all. I am only interested in doing my duty faithfully," he added.

It should be noted that Jagathy has not been awarded the Padmasri, though he is an actor of great repute who has been around for much more than a couple of decades in the industry.
