Indian Voice contestant to be the heroine in Celluloid

Kamal brings forth the first heroine of Malayalam cinema, Rosy, after 54 years, in front of the camera in Celluloid. Chandhni, one of the contestants of Josco Indian Voice of Mazhavil Manorama, will do the role of Rosy in Celluloid.



The first Malayalam Movie Vigathakumaran written, directed, and produced by J C Daniel who is considered the father of Malayalam cinema had Rosy as its heroine.



In his new movie, Kamal is making an attempt to recreate the life and times of J C Daniel and Rosy and to revive memories of the bygone era of Malayalam cinema.



Chandni had already entered the industry as a playback singer through Oru Yathrayil of Major Ravi. The lyrics and music is by Anil Panachooran.



Prithviraj does the role of J C Daniel and Mamta as his wife, Janet. Sreenivasan as Chelangatte Gopalakrishnan who wrote the life story of Rosy.
