Jagathy Sreekumar bags Prem Naseer Award

This years Prem Naseer Foundation award goes to the renowned comedian Jagathy Sreekumar. A cash prize of Rs 30,000, a statue and a citation form the award.

Director Rajasenan, one of the judging committee members said, “Jagathy Sreekumar was selected for his contribution to Malayalam cinema for three decades. His characters in more than 1000 films and his talent made the award committee to select Jagathy Sreekumar. Many seniors were there but his outstanding talent fetched the award”.

The Chief Minister of Kerala will present the award on April 7.

The award committee was comprised of Rajasenan, Thalekkunil Basheer, Kireedom Unni and Suresh Kumar.
