Jagathy to no longer appear in lottery ads

Cochin, Aug.28 (NR): Actor Jagathy Sreekumar has officially stated that he would no longer be promoting lottery tickets.

Jagathy was the official promoter of the Sikkim and Bhutan lotteries.

Jagathy's decision is a reaction to the Chief Minister's statements the other day regarding the lottery companies of other states having fallen down in their standards.

Sri.Achuthanandan had also criticized the film stars who were promoting the lottery companies.

Jagathy said that he was much moved by the Chief Minister's statements. He also said that he is aware of his responsibility towards the society, and hence has decided to withdraw himself from the lottery ads.
