Jayaram's house and office attacked in Chennai

Chennai. Feb.5 (NR): A group of people attacked Jayaram's house in Chennai today evening. His office in the city was also attacked.

About twenty five people who claimed to be members of the organization called 'Naam Tamizhar' were behind the attack. Windows of the house were shattered as a result of the attack. The actor's car that was lying outside his office was also attacked.

The government has accorded police protection for the actor's house.

Its believed that Jayaram's comments on his housemaid in a TV programme that was aired on a Malayalam channel had provoked the attacks.

Several women's organizations and human rights organizations have rallied against the actor. The Advocates Forum for Social Justice has also demanded that the actor render an apology for his thoughtless comment. Click the Movie button below for more info:
