Kalabhavan Mani plays challenging role in Nanma

Kalabhavan Mani is one of those actors who have always been ready to take up challenges, playing all kinds of roles. And now, in his forthcoming film Nanma, he plays a very different character appearing in an altogether different get-up.


A totally bald man with a frightening mustache, Muthuchettiyar is someone who unhesitatingly jumps into the water to bring out floating dead bodies. Of course this is not Muthuchettiyar's job. It is a kind of service that he does. He is always ready, even to get out of the water dead bodies that are in various stages of decomposition. But Muthuchettiyar's life changes when he fishes out of water someone who is personally attached to him.


Kalabhavan Mani plays an aged character who is the father of two sons and a daughter and passes through all kinds of emotional states in life. Nanma is written and directed by Sharath Chandran Wyanad who had earlier directed Annorikkal. The film also has in the cast Rahman, debutante Abhinaya, Aravind, Suja Karthika, Kalasala Babu, Indrans, Sukumari etc. Shoot for the film is currently going on in Kaavaalam, Kuttanad etc.
