Kavya is Mammootty's heroine

Kavya Madhavan, who has been doing all kinds of films, commercial and art movies, has decided to follow the footsteps of Meera Jasmine, Gopika, Bhavana etc. Though Kavya had acted with all the actors in Malayalam, she hadn't played heroine to either of the two biggies - namely Mammootty and Mohanlal. Though she had acted with Mammootty (Aparichithan, Rakshasaraajavu etc) and also with Mohanlal (Onnaaman, Vadakkumnathan), she has never played heroine to either of them.

Now that many of the young heroines have already been paired successfully with these superstars (Bhavana with Mohanlal in Naran and Chotta Mumbai, Gopika with Mammootty in Mayavi and Meera Jasmine with Mohanlal in Rasathanthram), and also because they continue to do films with these actors (Meera Jasmine with Mammootty in Ore Kadal), Kavya has decided not to be left behind. She has reportedly decided to act opposite Mammootty in Nasrani, directed by Joshi and scripted by Ranjith.

To be produced by M. Rajan (Doha) under the banner of Horizon Entertainments, Nasrani will commence shoot probably in June and is scheduled to be released during Onam this year. The film will also have in the cast Jagathy Sreekumar, Kalabhavan Mani, Vijayaraghavan, KPAC Lalitha etc. Nasrani no doubt will be a great leap for Kavya who, as we all know, had even acted alongside Mammootty in Bhoothakannadi, Azhagiya Ravanan and Oraal Mathram as a child artist.
