Kerala Film Exhibitors Federation against Ganesh Kumar

Cochin, Nov.3 (NR): The Kerala Film Exhibitors Federation feels that the problems that exist in the film industry today are mainly due to the stand adopted by Minister Ganesh Kumar on the various issues.

The Kerala Film Exhibitors Federation feels that instead of instituting a grading system for the theatres, what should be done is there should be some sort of grading amidst the stars first.

The Federation is also against the building of several multiplexes in the state. The multiplex theatres have a ticket rate that varies across 150 to 250 rupees. This would be a huge challenge for the ordinary film viewer, the Federation warned.

There are also plans to close down around 150 non-A/C theatres in the state, when the grading system would be put into practice, the Federation alleged.
