Kerala gets ready for its own film festival
Nov 30, 2004 IANS Nov 30Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 30 (IANS): While the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) begins in Goa, Kerala is getting ready for its own International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) later this month.
The ninth edition of the IFFK would screen 58 films from 40 countries from Dec 10-17, officials said.
Among the films being screened would be Andrey Zvyagintsev's "The Return" from Russia, Robert Lepage's "Far Side of the Moon" from Canada, Osemene Sembene's "Moolade" from Senegal and India's "An Ode To Lost Love" by Madhu Ambat.
Award winning French director Alain Corneau would head the jury, which would also include Simon Field from Britain, Mama Keita from France and Farhan Aktar from India.
