Kochi, May 30 (IANS) A lull on the cinematic front due to the onset of monsoons is upon us. However, Prithviraj's new film "Khaki" has been successful in beating the rains.

The top five Malayalam films are:

1. "Khaki" - Prithviraj plays a police officer yet again in debutant director Bipin Prabhakar's film. It has action, drama and emotional family scenes in equal proportion.

2. "Vinodayatra" - With director Sathyan Anthikkad's stamp on it, the Dileep and Meera Jasmine starrer is still a big draw.

3. "Big B" - Malayalam superstar Mammootty's stylish film, made by cameraman-turned-director Amal Neerad, is a pulling in crowds.

4. "Chotta Mumbai" - Writer Benny P. Nayarambalam and director Rasheed Anwar create magic for Mohanlal in this comedy.

5. "Goal" - Veteran director Kamal's "Goal" can teach young directors how to lure the young crowd to the theatres.
